Being our first 3/4 race as a team we had a good turnout and raced well. We controlled the pack the entire race but let the finish slip away. I feel that we have some tactical aspects to work on but all in all we did a great job and had an awesome time! Highlight.... hearing Eli yelling up the climbs and yelling "hey ladies!"
 The results will be posted ASAP most notably Jason Gross finished 8th and Paul Hoyle 12th! Great job everyone....  |

Well the first race of the season for me is over and I finished 23 out of 46. Matt Landis finished his first race with an overall of 33rd. Great job by the whole team. Chris McCartney, Matt Landis, Jason Yeager, Joe Orsini, Barry Short, Michelle Rudy, Mike Beshore, Barry Rauhauser, Blake Briker and myself (Dewy). Glad to see the Team pull together and support each other on. I love to hear the COW BELLS! Have not seen the results for Mike, Barry, Blake or myself yet. Chris posted the other and great job. Way to go Michelle 3rd place for the first one. You go girl:P !

On Saturday I went down to Leesburg, VA to race in my first mountain bike race, Snotcycle sponsored by Plum Grove Cyclery. The race was held at the same place as the Leesburg Bakers Dozen 13hr race in the Spring…only in January it’s 20 degrees and the race course is covered in snow, ice, and frozen piles of cow crap. Not only was this my first race, it was also my first experience riding on snow & ice (and frozen cow patties)!! I had the flu the day before the race so health wise I was not feeling good at all. The course was 2 laps of rolling single track for a total of 15 mi. I rocked my 29er all over that course and finished in 1:54:12 clinching the 1st place title in the chick beginner category!!! Not bad for my first race. Looking forward to the next!!
